Education Queensland believes that clear and consistent school discipline is an essential component of a high performing education system. Children and young people need self-discipline as part of their social development in order to achieve their academic and life goals. In 2013, the Queensland Government introduced comprehensive audit requirements for state schools in the area of discipline.
